MEET LARAN
Boho Rococo Jewelry started at our dining room table while living in Austin, Texas in the spring of 2012. I pursued an urge to "make" following the news of a scary diagnosis and treatment plan for our young boy. I unpacked some tools, bought a bunch of beads and got to work. With a degree in Art Therapy, I knew that I needed a creative outlet to relieve my focus during the many days of unfamiliarity and uncertainty that we had ahead. Beads, jaunts around Town Lake and Bota Box were my go-to's for self care. Today, "The Boy" is well, thriving and bossy.

When I was a little girl, my mama would take me on all sorts of treasure hunting adventures. If she was headed to an Auction in the Texas Hill Country, I was tagging alongside her. If she was digging through junk at an Antique shop in Ocean Beach, I was elbow deep too. And when we would head down to Baja for a weekend at the beach, I was always happy to spend hours on end walking through the markets carefully scrutinizing handmade crafts and jewelry while fine tuning my negotiating skills. Give us 15 minutes at a garage sale or in a thrift store and our dynamic duo would mine through the rough and leave with a diamond.
I totally dig designing and handcrafting my work, but I equally enjoy the adventure of sourcing the unique elements put into every piece of jewelry that I make. Because of this, Boho Rococo pieces are often made as very small batches or even one of a kind items. I never know if I’ll be able to source materials again after I find them, so if you see something you like, know that it may not be available next time you stop by.
I hope you find something that moves you here. Enjoy your treasure hunting.
